A New Day...

...a fresh beginning.  As I'd said before, I was (am) hoping to get this blog more active.  Well, here I am again, hoping...  starting w/ my new Blog Charter (check out my new tab..woohoo, getting nifty)... and revamping our ICAN chapter here locally and helping prepare for the 2013 Conference , and posting posting posting.  I just signed on to be an affiliate for The Pink Kit ...because I believe in it very strongly...it is tied to my last and final birth attempt, with Noah....and tied to the only shred of belief I had left in me....meaning belief in myself and my body, not of my God.  Or maybe it was belief in his creation...in His power, that wavered.  I'm not sure.  But, when everyone else said "no"...the Pink Kit said "yes."  And I still hold on to that.  So (again) ...stay tuned. :)

really think about this....think long and hard.....because it's true...and if we continue to deny it's true, we will see more moms harmed, more moms dying....

Alabama Midwifery BILL

READ it here: http://alisondb.legislature.state.al.us/acas/searchableinstruments/2010rs/bills/sb414.htm

call your senators and ask them to vote in support of it!!  Don't know how?  Ask me!

UPDATE:  As you may or may not know, this didn't work out last year...so it's been in the works again this year...will keep you posted.

don't know

need to collect my thoughts on mom logic's post: http://www.momlogic.com/2010/04/c-sections_hit_historic_high_-will_obamas_plan_make_a_difference.php

it's more complicated than just that women and doctor's can petition ins. companies now.... it's going to take changing the doctors' PERCEIVED risk of getting sued, and letting them know that whatever that PERCEIVED risk is, it's not worth destroying womens' bodies and lives and babies over.  well, she briefly mentions boardrooms and lawsuits... it's complicated, though unnecessarily so.
